Those that can watch Christmas movies any time of the year will say, “See, it’s a good thing! I’m taking care of my health!” Time to get your Hallmark Channel fix on!
Studies show that watching Christmas movies all year long may help people live longer and happier lives.
A psychologist tells the news outlet, “It does create that neurological shift that can produce happiness. I think anything that takes us out of our normal habituation, the normal day in, day out, signals our senses, and then our senses measure if it’s pleasing or not. Christmas decorating will [also] spike dopamine, a feel-good hormone.”
Experts say watching movies like “Elf” and “Love Actually” can reduce levels of stress and anxiety.
