All day pass is $10–Food & drink will be available for purchase
PHOTOVILLE is an exhibit of Vintage and newer photos– highlighting local and not so local photographers from the past (the subjects however are local). The public is invited to participate/exhibit some of their family and or favourite photos. All Photos tell a “story” – feel free to share any photo and its story…Since June is “wedding month” there will be a display of vintage gowns as well as selected wedding photos.
1:00 PM—Sara Lauzon, Cornwall’s Little Historian will do a power point presentation on the original house of refuge (poorhouse)
2:00/3:00 PM DHS will be honouring three local cinematographers followed by a selected film from their repertoire as follows
Gordon Sparling-lived in Lochinvar for over 20 years and was one of Canada’s earliest film makers–An example of his work will be featured–“RHAPSODY in TWO LANGUAGES”
Eunice Macauley lived in Vankleek Hill for over 20 years and won an academy award for “SPECIAL DELIVERY” which will be featured
Co Hoedeman lived in the Dalhousie Mills area for a number of years and he also won an academy award for his feature short film “THE SANDCASTLE” which will be featured
4:00— “STORY TIME” Tell your photo/display story–various “guests “(please phone ahead to arrange space) will briefly talk about their photos/display
5:00-7:00 PM “UNCLE GEORGE and FRIENDS” with Roger Hamelin, playing classic country and western music
8:30 PM Gary Carpenter’s impersonates the favourites from the past, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Buddy Holly and many more.
9:45 PM Last Call
