The province is telling pot enthusiasts they shouldn’t worry about a potential Canada Post strike, because there’s a backup plan in place to make sure everyone gets their legal weed. But the Finance Minister refused to say what, exactly, that plan is. He says there’s “no sense” in detailing a contingency plan for a strike that might not take place. The union representing 50-thousand Canada Post employees has given notice that workers could walk off the job as early as Monday.
Firefighters were called to the Grenville, Shell gas station at approximately 3:20 Thursday morning. According to SQ police, a fire was caused by cutting tools theives had used to break into the building. They removed an ATM, broke it open, and stole an unspecified quantity of cash that was inside it. No merchandise from the IGA Express depanneur was stolen. Police are looking for three suspects but have not given further details yet.
Ottawa police are looking for members of a group that attacked “Scare Actors” at a Halloween attraction last weekend. Saunders Farm says a total of eight actors in three different scare attractions at its Frightfest were hit by guests in the group on Saturday night. It says two of the actors have been diagnosed with concussions.
