A Japanese company will financially reward employees who get a full night’s sleep. The wedding planning company Crazy Inc. will offer points to employees who sleep a minimum six hours a night for five days a week.
The points are exchangeable for food in the company’s staff eatery for up to 64,000 yen ($570) per year. Progress will be tracked via an app. More than 92% of Japanese workers claim they don’t get enough sleep. The company is wagering that well-rested employees will be happier and therefore more productive at work.
