Warm summer weather is here and it’s time to enjoy it before it’s gone again. Spend a lot of time outdoors being active. Here are some tricks you can use to sneak some exercise into your day.
Regular exercise is known to improve heart health, reduce pain and improve stress levels. Try turning simple activities like going to get groceries or taking the kids to the park into exercise.
Take the scenic route. Before you leave home, map out a route that adds a bit of extra time to your commute. Some extra walking time won’t hurt.
Get your steps in. Not just those walking steps…use the stairs! Skip the escalator at the mall, and try the stairs at work instead of the elevator. Even if you do it a couple days out of the week it will still make a big difference.
