[VIDEO] Remembering Carol Channing

Hello Dolly’s Carol Channing dies aged 97…

The actress and singer best known for starring in the musicals Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Hello, Dolly! Broadway star Carol Channing has died at the age of 97 of natural causes.

From her big break in the Broadway revue Lend An Ear in 1948 to Hello, Dolly!, which was originally written for Ethel Merman, who turned it down, Carol turned it into the role that would help to define her career, and she reprised it in multiple productions over the decades.
