With rotating strikes by unionized workers in its fourth week, Canada Post is suspending delivery time guarantees. Canadian Union of Postal Workers members walked off the job early yesterday in Toronto and at the Canada Post distribution centre in nearby Scarborough, while rotating strikes resumed late Monday in Nova Scotia. However, job action at a processing centre near Vancouver ended yesterday morning.



Police have been investigating the brutal beating of a 15-year-old boy at St. Peter’s High School in Orleans and say charges are coming. Police confirmed at least eight students participated in the beating. The 15-year-old who has a concussion, has been released from hospital according to reports. Police are also investigating an  incident when On Monday, a group of students from Rockland District High School who were participating in a neighbourhood run during a physical education class near the end of the day were approached by a car. Someone in the car fired a BB gun at the students. There were no injuries.



The city of Clarence Rockland is advising that Raymond Street at the address 2301,  will be closed today from 7:00 this morning until 6:00 this afternoon in order to connect services to new construction. Detours will be in place.
