The World’s Shortest Flight

Loganair is now offering the world’s shortest flight.  The company doesn’t offer in flight beverages or snack, because you wouldn’t have enough time to open the snack package.  And don’t think for a second about having a power nap, unless you can pull one off in 60 seconds.

The flight between the islands of Westray and Papa Westray lasts 1.5 minutes. The islands are .7 miles apart. Loganair is charging $22 for round trip tickets. The islands are located north of Great Britain.

The world’s longest flight, which just re-entered service last week. The New York-Singapore route flown by Singapore AirlinesSINGF, +2.16%  takes nearly 18 hours — some 1,080 times longer than the Loganair flight, give or take a minute. Tickets were selling for $2,147 and up on the Singapore Airlines website this week.
